I earned my law degree from Dalhousie University, an International Law Certificate from Queens University, and an Hon. BA from the University of Waterloo.
After articling, I participated in the Young Lawyers International Program, working in Johannesburg, South Africa at Lawyers for Human Rights for 6 months. I then cut my teeth in the legal aid world, in Port Hawkesbury, Cape Breton, working in the areas of family, criminal, and child protection law. Much of my work was in the Wagmatcook Court, working with members of the indigenous community.
Since 2021 I have been a staff lawyer at Dalhousie Legal Aid Service.
